Catering Service Associates and Bartenders

MOSAIC Catering + Events is a restaurant and event service company with operations in Charleston, SC and Richmond, VA. Our services range from award-winning casual dining destinations to full-scale catering and event facilities.

We are currently seeking Service Associates and Bartenders in our catering department located in Charleston, SC. This is an hourly position for special event staff and will on an event-to-event basis. This position is responsible for getting to and from events with reliable transportation, setting up, and breaking down an event site, and providing the exceptional service that MOSAIC is known for. 

Night and weekend availability is a plus. 
Experience in food and bev/hospitality/catering is preferred. 
Applicants may choose to work events as often as they choose to, perfect for supplemental income with a flexible schedule. We staff special events by reaching out via email so associates can let us know when they would like to work and for how long. Events range from weddings, to corporate affairs, to fundraisers, and more! Please email resume and/or contact information. No phone calls please. 

Bartender Responsibilities: 

The Catering Bartender is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to MOSAIC guests. The bartender will provide guests with hospitality providing prompt, efficient service of beverages in accordance with MOSAIC policies and standards.

Major Duties:

Performs necessary tasks to service guests and is able to handle all guest requests 
Maintains guest's event area in clean and neat manner 
Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled 
Guides the guest through all phases of their experience in the event 
Opens and serves wine or alcoholic beverages as requested 
Effectively communicates with the kitchen, catering coordinate and other catering staff 
Assists other catering personnel with setup/breakdown duties as necessary 
Knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes
Familiar with various types of services -- plated, buffet, working lunches, etc. 
Promotes a memorable service experience 
Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment
After function, remove inventory and all beverage equipment to proper storage.
Retrieve and store bar glassware to proper storage. 
Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and management
Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work.
Fully knowledgeable in drink recipes.
Polish all glassware and prepare needed bar fruit.
Provide beverage service to guests in a professional and courteous manner


Catering Service Responsibilities: 

The Catering Server is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to MOSAIC guests. The server will provide guests with hospitality providing prompt, efficient service of food and beverages in accordance with MOSAIC policies and standards.

Major Duties:

Performs necessary tasks to service guests and is able to handle all guest requests 
Maintains guest's event area in clean and efficient manner 
Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled 
Guides the quest through all phases of their experience in the banquet or event 
Sets up, monitors, refreshes and breaks down reception and buffet tables for specific events
Opens and serves wine or alcoholic beverages as requested 
Promptly removes dishes as guests complete their meal during any meeting or function 
Resets banquet rooms in preparation for the next function 
Effectively communicates with the kitchen, catering coordinate and other catering staff 
Assists other catering personnel with setup/breakdown duties as necessary 
Knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes
Familiar with various types of services -- plated, buffet, working lunches, etc. 
Promotes a memorable service experience 
Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment
